I saw this on Facebook not long ago (I don't remember how many likes it had, but I'm pretty sure it was a couple hundred thousand) and this came to mind as I was reading the piece by Jones, Chapter 4.
Dear Valeria - Thanks for sharing this note with us. It is indeed relevant to our readings this week, particularly some of the material by Ann Jones (from her book, Next Time She'll Be Dead), where she talks about the problematic ideas that popular culture and pseudo science are teaching us about love, sexuality and violence. I was wondering if you could expand a bit more on how exactly you see this relating to the class material - and how you saw it at first and now with the new knowledge from class? That would be great.
